Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
TechWhales ("we," "us," or "our") develops Spot & Score(the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Spot & Score does not require you to create an account or log in, and we do not knowingly collect your name, postal address, or other directly-identifying contact information through the App itself. The information we do collect comes primarily from the third-party services described below.
Device & Usage Data (Firebase Analytics)
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how players use the App so we can fix bugs and improve gameplay. This may include: device type and model, operating system and version, app version, general (non-precise) location derived from IP address, language settings, session length, and in-app events such as levels completed, chapters unlocked, hints used, and purchases made.
Gameplay Data
To save your progress (chapters unlocked, coins, lives, and settings), the App may store gameplay data associated with an anonymous, randomly generated installation or device identifier — not your name or email address.
Advertising Data (Google AdMob)
Spot & Score is a free app supported by advertising, delivered through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), including banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads. AdMob and its partners may collect and use your advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID), IP address, device information, and app interaction data to serve ads and, where permitted, personalize them based on your interests. Rewarded ads may require completing an ad view to grant an in-app reward (such as coins or a hint).
Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's own privacy policy and, where applicable, its EU User Consent Policy. You can learn more or manage ad personalization settings at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Purchase Data (In-App Purchases)
The App offers optional in-app purchases (extra lives, coins, hints, and a remove-ads upgrade) processed through in-app purchase tooling (Unity IAP) integrated with the Google Play Store. Payment details (such as your card number) are handled entirely by Google — we never see or store your payment information. We may receive a record that a purchase occurred, the product purchased, and a transaction or receipt identifier, so we can grant your purchased content and process refund or restore requests.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and save your progress in the App.
- To display and, where permitted, personalize ads.
- To process and deliver in-app purchases.
- To analyze usage trends, diagnose technical issues, and improve game balance, difficulty, and features.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads — advertising and ad measurement.
- Google Firebase Analytics — usage analytics.
- Unity IAP — in-app purchase processing (payment handled by Google).
- Google Play Store — billing, purchase receipts, and app distribution.
4. Data Sharing & Sale
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only with the service providers listed above, as necessary for them to perform their functions (analytics, advertising, payment processing), or where required by law, to protect our rights, or to investigate fraud or security incidents.
5. Children's Privacy
Spot & Scoreis intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the App is configured to serve a mixed or child-directed audience on a given store listing, advertising is limited to child-appropriate, non-personalized ads in accordance with applicable laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policy. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please reach out through our Contact page so we can address it.
6. Your Choices
- Ad personalization:You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android).
- Reset advertising identifier: Your device allows you to reset your advertising ID at any time.
- Remove ads: The optional remove-ads purchase disables ad display within the App.
- Data deletion: Since gameplay data is tied to an anonymous device identifier rather than an account, you can clear it by uninstalling the App. To request deletion of any data we hold, reach out through our Contact page.
7. Data Retention & Security
We retain gameplay and analytics data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by our third-party providers' own retention practices. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. International Data Transfers
Our third-party providers (Google) may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
10. Contact Us
